Airbus A380

I forgot to tell this! I have booked my flight home to Medan, and guess what? Yep, the title! I'm going on Airbus A380! SQ220 and SQ221 (Singapore-Medan=A320). Oh! How exciting! I wonder if any of you have got on it before? Tell me, is it exciting? I'm going to do lots of photo taking in it (and video too lol).

Did chores today: booked flight back to Indo, paid it, got membership refunded, got my shoes from Em and even gave her Messiah ticket. I gotta give David's messiah ticket to her though, tomorrow perhaps.

Been watching Death Note, it's good! I really like L, I saw the footage at the beginning of the video, woah, he looked totally different from L. Must be a really good actor.

Another thing I have been looking, it's my mum's air crash transcript. Here's some infos:

26 September 1997 - Garuda 152

Flight GA152 (Jakarta-Medan) was cleared for an ILS approach to Medan runway 05 and was flying on a 316deg heading on Airway 585/W12. Having descended to 3000ft the crew were instructed to turn left heading 240deg for vectoring to intercept the runway 05 ILS. At 13.28 the flight was instructed to continue on a 215deg heading and descend to 2000ft. At 13.30h ATC directed the flight to turn right heading 046 and report when establishing the localizer. Confusion the part of the air traffic controller followed over whether GA152 was turning left or right. Just 10 seconds after confirming the right turn, the Airbus crashed in a wooded area, broke up and burst into flames. The wreckage covered a 150x75m area near the village of Pancur Batu, which is located at 900-1000m amsl. The accident happened 30kms short of Medan Airport. The region was affected by smog from forest fires; visibility was reported to be 600-800m.

As you can see, the tower said a wrong thing to GA152.

It was for Merpati, but then asking for the confirmation, instead of asking Merpati, they asked Garuda.

MEDAN: GIA 152, turn right heading 046, report established on localizer.
GIA 152: Turn right heading 040, GIA 152, check established.
MEDAN: Turning right sir.
GIA 152: Roger, 152.

Don't know what's happening here, but they were asked to turn "right" now.

MEDAN: 152, confirm you're making turning left now?
GIA 152: We are turning right now.
MEDAN: 152 OK, you continue turning left now.
GIA 152: A ...... confirm turning left? We are starting turning right now.

And then they were asked to turn left, right after that. GIA152 responded saying, "we are turning right now." I am pretty sure, due to poor English, it was misunderstood. You see how it could mean, we are turning "right," now. Or it could mean, we are turning "right now."

Oh well, I don't 100% understand what was happening but yeah that's what I saw.

According to www.planecrashinfo.com, that air crash is one of the worst 100 crash in the world up to today, ranking 18th worst. Not a really good thing to be in a high rank for. The worst was the 9/11 incident.

Messiah Performance - 9 December 2007

The Messiah performance went well I thought, except for a few glitches, like some out of tune violins. Oh and during "Glory to God", number 17 or 19, one Massed choir soprano came in with a high F# before everyone else, and it must have been extremely embarrassing.

Met Ben during interval at the toilet, he called me, but I didn't remember who he was. Was wondering about it for a while because he looked so familiar. Then I realised that he is Ben. Well, haven't seen him for some time, that's prolly why. I called him after the performance.

Well, gotta start packing again because I'm moving to Emily's on the 14th. The owner of my house wouldn't let me stay a few days later, it's either 14th or 21st, I don't feel like giving the more money, so I'm just gonna move on the 14th. So soon. Gotta rent a car and move everything. What a tiring thing to do.

Didn't call Miss Leong for her birthday yesterday. I was too tired and I couldn't find her number on my mobile! I lost it!?

Interview

There isn't much new stuff to talk about. Besides, I went to do my interview today! It was horrible! I waited for 40 minutes, everyone had done their interview before I went in. Well they asked me questions and I answered them timidly, because it was so quiet and they weren't even responding much! The situation was pretty coool there. But I went through it. Thank God, He's always good. Oh well. That's all for today.

Been a while

Been a while since I last updated, well a few days at least. The truth is, because I was too busy. So I will talk about the things that happened since 30th Nov.

30th Nov. Well the silly piano trio is performed again, this time in Taylors high school graduation. Dickson, Derrick and I had to go back to Taylors on that day to do the pieces. Since they had the party at Dennis' the night before, they were too so sleepy. I went back home so it was ok, they, on the other hand, slept at 7-ish and had to wake up at like 10. Derrick looked like he would die at any time soon. Anyway, the three of us played well and it was well received (with lots of shouts and laughters). After that, we went down to see Mario's car. It was cool! Ford and it's a proper racing car! Maan, and he is gonna get a racing license!

Anyway, at night, Joel, his bro, Edward and I went to watch MCR concert. I, being too smart, saw the door which said no cameras allowed etc., so I told them not to bring cameras. ARGH, you can! So no good photos at all of me in my first rock concert. Oh well, but it was awesome! Except for the fact that my ears and eyes were totally damaged.

So anyway, Yenny added me on MSN at night (maybe it was Saturday night) when I was supposed to practice for my DipABRSM exam on Monday (today) and write the programme notes. And she gave me even more work: compose an invention for the piano for a TV thing. I am not even sure, she said it's the scene where two guys talk in a lounge and a classical pianist just comes in and play invention in Bach style... Why invention? I don't know. So, due to the heavy DipABRSM load, I postponed the composition.

The next day, Sunday, is the concert day! Messiah, at Town Hall. Undeniably, it was not as good as the one in the Opera House would be, but it was awesome! It was fun and especially the Hallelujah Chorus! The audiences stood up. I was enjoying myself singing the Bass part as well as meaning what I sing and worshipping God. It was just so nice! And I played the organ during rehearsal break! w00t w00t! I tried the pipe organ! Now, that made me want to learn it!

At night, I skipped church again... Sigh, I felt so bad! But I had to to finish writing my programme notes and to.... guess what? Learn a piece, I mean, a totally new piece, for my 4th piece. I choosed Rachmaninoff's Elegy (Op.3 No.1). I was so frustrated especially because despite the fact I tried to tell Cindy, Melvin and Susan that I need to practice this piece, the still gossiped so loud at the back. Laughing in the middle of an Elegy, not cool! Especially the silence part after the climax (where there is a slight silence), Melvin shouted, "What? Incest!?" And it was recorded... How annoying. But I managed to play through the Elegy, it was only later on I try to interpret it nicely.

Monday, which is today! My DipABRSM exam! Queenie and I met at Circular Quay and went to the con together. The purpose: borrow books for the exam. Yes, indeed, very last minute and disorganised. That is us! Especially me. But we found the books that we needed quickly, especially me because I already looked for the call numbers at home. After that, we marched to scaffold: St. Laurence Arts Centre, where our examination took place. The examiner was young, and she was very friendly albeit examiner-like. Queenie did her's well, and I didn't do mine as well as her. Oh well, that's for not practicing but at least I could play through it better than I thought I would.

After that we went to eat, I was planning to go for capoeira so I went back home at 4:20. But by the time I arrived it was over 5 pm and it would be too late to go there. So I decided to compose Yenny's stuff. And I did. And I recorded it too. But it was unsuitable for the scene. So I don't care anymore.

Anyway, what a long blog today, I wonder who would even be bothered to read it.
