Been long since I updated. Anyway, right now, in Surfers Paradise's Backpackers hostel thingy updating. Backpacking around the north west part of Aussie: Brisbane, GoldCoast (Surfers Paradise) and Sydney.
Met David in Brisbane and he seemed like he's doing great there! =D I'm happy for him. We did a lot of catching up and chatting. Specially noted is the interesting convo with Cyrus's friend, Chris, full of humour, sarcasm, teasing, offending, etc.
Went to Movie world yesterday and got on all the thrill rides! woo hoo and going to Dreamworld today. Looking forward to it.

To Autumn "Fugue"
To Autumn Fugue
This is a really weird thing. Experimental "piece" "composed" and recorded by Jacob, Jamie and I.

Winch Launch and Preparations
Thanks to those who read and commented on my blog! =D that was great of you. Really appreciated!
Anyway, nothing besides church happened today. Oh, we cooked dinner, I made some Turkish stuff -_- and the other made food too. It was great, we had like 5 different things to eat =P
Anyway, let's talk about the gliding. The CHAOTIC check is cool, here it goes (e.g.)
"CHAOTIC Check, C, Controls. Stick to the left, left aileron up and right aileron down. Stick to the right, right aileron up and left aileron down. Stick forward, elevator down, stick backward, elevator up. Left rudder pedal, (looks at the rudder moving to the left) yep, right rudder pedal (looks at the rudder moving to the right) yep.
*gets into the plane*
CH Harness.
*tightens the harness*
My harness is tight and secure, is your's tight and secure?
*the pilot at the back says, my harness is tight and secure*
CHA Airbrakes
Full airbrakes (checks airbrake is full), half (checks airbrake is half), closed and locked. No flaps is attached to this aircraft.
CHAO Outside, Options, Obstacles.
We have a left hand wind at about 10 knots. The stall speed of the aircraft is 36knots. The minimum winch launching speed is 1.3 times the stall speed which is 48knots. The maximum winch launching speed is written on the placard which is 67knots. The safe speed near ground is 1.5 times the stall speed which is 54knots, rounded up to 55knots. The safe approach speed is the safe speed near ground plus half the wind speed which is 55knots plus 5knots equals to 60knots.
In case of a cable break, I will push the stick forward to achieve safe speed above ground of 55knots and pull the release twice (while doing the actions). If there is enough runway to safely land I will land ahead but if there isn't I will do a modified circuit to the right. There are trees on the left so I have to be careful not to land too close to them.
CHAOT Trim
Trim is set to the third from the front. No ballast is required for the aircraft because the passengers satisfy the weight requirements of the aircraft. There are no tail or wing dollies attached to the aircraft.
CHAOTI Instruments
The radio is set to 126.7 and the altimeter is set to the height of the airfield which is 33oft. There are no broken glasses.
CHAOTIC Canopy, Controls
*Closing down the canopy, locks it*
Canopy is closed and locked. Undercarriage is down.
*Moving the stick to all corners and at the same time moving the rudder left and right*
Free controls of all movements, we are set."
That's a pretty long check eh?
A person outside will now do a radio call to the winch.
"Winch, this is launch, glider will be ready for launch in 3 minutes."
Then, time for CARD check.
A= person outside
B= me
A: Pilot ready?
B: (thumbs up)
A: Canopy?
B: (checks the canopy is closed and locked) Closed and locked.
A: Airbrakes?
B: (checks the airbrakes are locked) Closed and locked. No flaps is fitted to this aircraft.
A: Radio?
B: set at 126.7
A: You have no wing or tail dollies. (Shows me the small ring) You have a small ring and the orange weak link has been attached to the cable. (bends down to attach the ring to the bottom of the aircraft) OPEN!
B: (Opens the release)
A: CLOSE!
B: Closes the release.
A: (Pulls the plane with the cable) You are online and secure. (Checks for airplanes in the air). You are clear from above and behind. (thumbs up)
B: (thumbs up).
Then after this is the radio call.
"Stonefield traffic this is glider Kilo Romeo Oscar commencing winch launch from runway 09, Stonefield gliding."
(if I'm not mistaken).
Then the person outside will hold up the wingtip to level the aircraft and s/he will do a radio call to the winch, saying:
"Winch, this is launch, commencing launch, take up slack, take up slack, take up slack," while doing the take up slack signal.
When the cable tightens and the plane starts to move, the person outside will do an all out signal while saying, "all out, all out, all out."
And the glider flies! =D
In the case of no radio, the person outside will rock the wingtip up and down until the cable tightens. Wing is then leveled, which means all out.
This is so cool right? =D

When the cable tightens and the plane starts to move, the person outside will do an all out signal while saying, "all out, all out, all out."
And the glider flies! =D
In the case of no radio, the person outside will rock the wingtip up and down until the cable tightens. Wing is then leveled, which means all out.

Gliding
I have decided to just ignore those people. I don't care, I think I can cope with it. I have been coping much with other things (not as much as some other people) and therefore I can cope with things. May that be orthodox thinkings, or whatever. A church cant grow if there are disagreements and I guess I don't want to let my personal matters block the flow of grace to others in the church. Plus, if the other people can't change, or isn't willing to change, then there's no reason why I can't too. I surrender myself to God's decision and if this is His, I will follow it. I'll just get out from my comfortable zone and maybe suffer slightly from discomfort before I get used to it.
Gliding was awesome today! I was just enjoying myself too much. Nearly 3 hours of flying was much too fun! But now my whole body is tired...
Anyway, I did the CHAOTIC check today and I also did the CARD check for some flights (including the "take up slack" and "all out" signals).
The first flight was pretty depressing coz I can't control the aircraft. Approach was okay but the landing was shit because I flared much too early. The second flight, however, was amazing. I could actually control it pretty well. I improved a bit despite the fact that I did a few spins (as the result of trying to turn the plane quickly, to which Mark told me that I can turn quickly and gracefully too!). But we were good, I did around 2,000-2,500ft of thermalling (the rest was done by Mark) before we reached 5,400ft.
Well, too tired to continue. G'nite.

Orthodox
I miss Hillsong. I wish people has a less orthodox, ancestral approach to social life. I mean, how more vintage can something be? What's worse is that that person does not even come face to face to tell it to me. I would respect that much more, but now, no matter who that person is, I am already biased. Go on, tell me that I need to pray, go on tell me that I am not being Christ-like. Tell me whatever right thing it is. Or tell me that I'm wrong, tell me that I need advices. Tell me I haven't been listening to God. Tell me that these are things that I have to change! Tell me that I can do it, I can change my approach to things. I don't need to view things just like this and I can have this have that. Have bull, have crap. Any of you who knows what I'm talking about and are reading this, go on, tell people. Go on, tell me that I'm wrong. I'm always wrong anyway. I wish I am in a community where people do understand. What? Do I have to be the person who understands other's situations all the time? I mean yeah fine, I am very very selfish. I know that, I am egoistic. My dad told me enough times, I don't need to hear it from you guys anymore. But if you have the itch to judge me that way, go on judge me, like I care anymore. But you can't tell me I can't do that. I need that, that's my way and if you have different approach, then good on ya. If you are willing to change that, then good on ya. But I am not, because I think it's one of the most beautiful thing. There is something really arty about it. Reall ybeautiful and joyful and hopeful. But, now I definitely am not going to do any of those anymore. I'm sick of decrepit people who silently complain when they don't have the nuts to tell me directly. I would swear right here, but I have learnt not to do that. I know I used to swear a lot, but I've stopped. I did change. Is that a reason why I should change this too? No thank you. I know I won't be comfortable if I change, and I will be more comfortable if i stay. But what use is there to change if that would cause me to fall down emotionally. I don't care anymore, I just am sick of this. I cry out to God asking him for his help. Everyone told me to do so anyway. Like what I am doing is such an issue that can cause a big boom of crap going on. I am tired of this, but whatever God tells me, I will do. At this moment I have no answer yet, but I will listen to him. I do, I do want to surrender to Him. So just come and take my anger away. I need You to anyway. Even so, at this moment, I wish I am not here, I wish I am in Hillsong. Or I wish that I never knew. I'd rather not know someone is talking behind my back than knowing that someone is talking behind my back.

YHVH
Yay! I'm in the audio lab again. I swear I posted something yesterday! But it aint published... I guess my internet was too slow and when I closed it, it hasn't yet been uploaded.
Whatever.
Class today was ok... Just an hour of stuff, and then Jamie, Jacob and I went to studio 2 to do our spoken words recording session. It went well, and at the end, we had a lil bit of fun (this is an understatement). If I'm bothered, I'll upload it on my YouTube haha.
Other than that, waiting for Piao2 to go to Koorong and uh, I don't know how am I getting to the airfield tomorrow, coz I haven't got it arranged yet. If I'm getting desperate, I'll prolly call Gabe again.
Going to see the guy who wrote "Taming the Tiger" speak about his testimony. Gotta be interesting!
One thing I read yesterday, this is pretty awesome! God's name in the Old Testament varies (He encourages us to call him in several names, e.g. God, Almighty, the Alpha and Omega, the Saviour, Lord, etc.). But one name that is very interesting is the Tetragrammaton: YHVH. It is often known as either Yahweh or Jehovah. Right now, we don't know how it is supposed to sound because we only have the four letters: YHVH. It's because this name is so holy that the people refuse to say it (kinda like he-who-must-not-be-named or you-know-who). What's even more awesome is that YHVH itself is a prophesy of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice.
YHVH (Yud-Hay-Vav-Hay) consists of 3 different Hebrew words and each of them has meanings by its own too. Yud means hand. Hay means behold. Vav means a hook or nail.
It's just so amazing that one of the holiest names of God, YHVH (Yud-Hay-Vav-Hay), can actually mean "Behold, the hand. Behold, the nail."
Whatever.
