Skirmish

My results weren't bad at all. Two out of four were out, the other two will be out together with the semester 2's results. Woe is me, for my music technology results T_T

Went skirmishing yesterday. It was awesome. Got to kill a few people lol. Much better than CS, although CS is fun in a way that you wont have sore thighs after ducking so many times lol. The view was awesome. We travelled 1.5 hours to the skirmish place. It was down south and you could see the beach and the sun and the hills. Man, it was just so beautiful. I don't mind going there just to see the view. Will definitely take my girlfriend there (if I have one in Adelaide lol).

Anyway, thanks heaps to Ben Delaney who arranged the trip there. Thanks also to Joe Chong who drove us there! =D and thanks to Mich Wee who went there just to take care of our bags and money stuffs. Thanks for everyone who came who made my day! =D and thanks for whoever shot my left and right bum, my chest, my waist, my eyes, the back of my head and my ear... And especially thanks to those who gladly received my bullets! =D

Anyway, nothing much happened as usual. So yeah.

Results tomorrow?

Practice was awesome today. 4th movement of Beethoven violin sonata in F major, played on the bassoon and piano instead of violin. lol. Up to speed too, I think we just need to practice a lil more.

iPhone 3G is out, I'm definitely not getting it, out of my league, too expensive. Meanwhile, I gotta find a part time job, other than being an accompanist.

Some results were out. Did pretty well I think. I just need to wait for the grades to come out... Pretty excited... First uni grade lol.

I'm pretty much doing nothing this holiday. I have to start finding things to do...

Pointless Post

Holidays eh, who doesn't love holidays? Especially if they are long, those ones after big huge exams and assignments. Well, I am now in the middle of my holiday (almost literally) and have been wasting time. I'm going to find jobs I guess. Pretty soon.

Going to practice the Spring Sonata (arr. for Bassoon + Piano) tomorrow, with Matt Zingerburger. Gee, I need a haircut. I just recorded 18 more stuff yesterday.

LOL I'm a bit random today.

Ok gotta cook and have dinner.

Pointless post.

Alright

Alright, I regretted posting that post. People don't seem to get what I mean, and I don't seem to get what people mean. So, for the sake of peace, I decided to shut up and deleted that.

I stood corrected. Rieu's music are just as "worthy" as Bach's music.

Hmm...

I guess what makes music music is the effect it has on people's life. Based on what I see today in the world, if a music recording is played in an outer space, or in a vacuum, it won't remain music. I have given this thought for so long. My first conclusion is that music will not remain music if it does not affect people's emotion. But I think after a rethink, I have come to another conclusion that music shall remain music even if it is not heard by humans or if it doesn't affect humans' life. Sure, there are heaps of music, junk or good ones, that affect people's lifes, but also those who doesn't. They are still music.

What is music then? How do we know it's music when we listen to the sound? This question then branches to more stuff. I mean it's amazing how we know and recognise the things around us so quickly. The process happens just in a snap. I mean, when we walk out, we do know that a bus is a bus; a bird is a bird; a pebble is a pebble.

Nevermind about that.

Oh about Rieu, I liken him to pop artists. And I refuse to leave any comments about him on my blog. Fanboys/fangirls.

What if the world ends in 2012?
Following what Shierly did in her blog (I saw it in Tom/Steph's blog).

Well, if the world ends in 2012, first of all, it'll be pretty devastating.

It's too early for the world to end,
it should have ended later.
At the same time it's too late for the world to end,
it should have ended earlier.

What have I achieved in my life?
Not much I'd say.

I was conceived, then born.
Lived a spoiled Indonesian Chinese life with luxuries.
Attended a Catholic school, while remained Buddhist.
At the same time, a Taoist too.

Death of my mum, in an air crash.
Got the best stepmum/mum you'd ever get.
Experienced the chaotic riots in 1997.
Studied IGCSE in Uplands School Malaysia.
Took up English, Malay, Japanese and Mandarin.

Studied music, piano, composition.
Fail in those.
Arranged music for ensembles.
Composed music that no one would have played.
Composed music that no one liked.
Composed music that people played.
Composed music that some people liked.

Been a smartass in classes.
Lived in a boarding house full of Thai people.
Made friends with boarding house people.
Fought with the meanest matron.
Realised that she was, after all, not all as bad as we made her seem.
Conquered the matrons and made them like me.

Found God, Jesus.
Heard Him.
Spoke to Him.
Sing for Him.
Serve Him.
Spend time with Him.
Ignored Him.
Disobeyed Him.
Shunned Him.
Got back to Him.
etc.

Came to Sydney, Australia.
Went to Hillsong.
Got Baptised.

Created TON with 3 other people.

Went to Adelaide.
Got in to Hope Church.
Study in Uni of Adelaide.
Joined Elder Conservatorium Chorale.
Took up the Organ.

Above all,
disappointed my parents.
Disappointed my father.
Disappointed my Father.

Procrastination seemed to be the best thing I do.

What have I achieved?
Not much.

What do I want to achieve?
A lot.

I guess, too many to list here.
